    1The challenge

Lineage grew through acquisition. Each cold store brought its own systems and its own definitions, so stock, lead time and customer reporting meant something slightly different per site. The knowledge of how a site really works sat with planners and team leaders.

    2Our solution

Foundation first. Definitions came first: what is a pallet, a lead time, a customer stock, and who owns it. Architecture followed: from a classic data warehouse to a Delta Lakehouse where that meaning is recorded once and inherited by every site. The sites' experience knowledge was gathered and named in the same pass.

    3The results

Lineage now has one European knowledge layer that grows instead of fragmenting further. New acquisitions plug into existing definitions, customers get reporting on their goods that traces back to the source, and predictive use cases sit on a foundation that can be checked.
