Above the base price, two things are metered. Both live as inspectable objects in your own environment, so you can always see what your bill is based on. No hidden counter, no surprises.
Active contracts
A contract records what shared data means and who is responsible for it. Billing uses the average number of active contracts over the month. Clean up and your bill goes down with it.
Successful runs
A run is one full execution of an automation, however many steps it has. Failed runs do not count. An alert that only reports is not a run. An automation that writes something back, calls a system or waits for approval, is.
